From May 16 to 26, ten GAIA member organisations, partners conducted waste and brand audits in 15 cities in India. The results show that MNCs PepsiCo, Unilever, Coca-Cola, P&G, Mondelez, Nestle and McDonald's are the top polluters. Among Indian corporates, we have Amul, Britannia, ITC, and Parle making it to the list.
GAIA, with the help of core partners around the globe, did extensive research on the state of plastic recycling worldwide, and the immediate and potential long-term effects of China’s ban. The research indicates that the only real way to solve the world’s plastic pollution crisis is to simply make less plastic.
